This is a universal project-oriented tool for developing and supporting Web sites. It includes a powerful text editor that provides flexible development tools for working with HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, Perl and other Web technologies. It provides customizable syntax highlighting and the ability to browse or execute a document without leaving the edit window. It also permits defining any commands with a macros language. A built-in browser and FTP client and find-and-replace with regular expression support through multiple files are also included. A number of wizards provide flexible tag insertion for the most complex HTML tags and it also includes a built-in style builder. Web Studio includes contextual help for all HTML, CSS, most common JavaScript elements and browser compatibility.

MetaProducts Web Studio 4.4 is the latest released version of this shareware program. It is possible to download the trial version available from the developer's website and evaluate it free of charge. Web Studio is an excellent and comprehensive web development suite, which can help developers and designers to easily create, and maintain their websites. It will install Web Studio at the Start menu, with several shortcuts for the following applications: LightPad, Tags Designer, Template Editor, and Visual Workshop. Visual Workshop features an advanced text editor, which gives support to HTML, JavaScript, Text, VB Script, CSS, PHP, Java, Perl, Pascal, SQL, and C++ programming languages. It includes a built-in FTP client and web browser from where we can view our created web pages. It is very easy to create tags, hotkeys, templates, commands, and toolbars, add images, text, calculate loading time, and insert, search, replace files, and many more. The program is highly customizable and can be set up to make most tasks automatically. There is a good Help Guide. It runs under Windows 95, 98, 98 Second Edition, 2000, 2003, Millennium, NT, XP, and Vista operating systems. |
